Of Wizards and Lies by Kathy Williams
Synopsis
Of Wizards and Lies is the conclusion of the saga of MasterWizard Lanya and how she changed her world.
In this, Lanya is forced to cope with the sudden revelation of the real history of the people. Until now, the people had been told only a small portion of how and why they came to exist in this part of the world.
The hidden truths are exposed through an accident when a young Wizard by the name of Toric came in contact with the knowledge. With the realization that he, and everyone else, had been mislead for all of these cycles, he reaches a conclusion that he cannot trust anyone to answer his questions. Toric believes that the people must be told the truth, and sets in motion a series of events which could hold catastrophic results.
The ultimate lesson to be learned was one of a matter of trust, both of the community leaders and of those who are the followers. When knowledge is withheld for the "good of all", the consequences can be devastating once it is brought out into the light.
Author Biography
Kathy Williams
Writing has always been something enjoyable. At the age of 14 my first short story was published in a very small local paper. By the time I had reached high school, I was writing a weekly column for the Future Farmers of America in the local evening paper while taking journalism classes. Several poems were printed in the class yearbook.
The Da Vinci Papers is my most recent work.
