Author Biography
Alfred D. Stevens
Alfred D. Stevens is a graduate manufacturing engineer who has worked extensively in automotive, tool, atomic power and military weapons industries. He was born July 13, 1922, in Detroit, Michigan. He was educated at Michigan State University, receiving a Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 1943. He did graduate studies at Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the U. S. Naval Research Laboratory and Wayne State University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and was a Principal Author/Presenter to the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) Committee B-9 (1952). Alfred has worked in the Automotive Industry for all of the major American manufacturers, as well as for several corporations in the carbide tool and military manufacturing industries.
