Janosik – We Remember! by John H. Hausner
Synopsis
Since 1976, when poems by Sebastian first began appearing in Slavic periodicals, Slavs developed a love and ethnic pride for this new, but still unknown, Slavic poet. Shortly thereafter, Sebastian's poems began appearing in the general news media and anthologies of great contemporary poems throughout the United States and Canada, creating a love for Sebastian's poetry among the general population. With the publication of Sebastian, the Essence of My Soul, by Vantage Press Inc. in 1982, the identity of John H. Hausner as the poet Sebastian became known for the first time.
Though Sebastian's poetry has become cherished by people of all ethnic ancestry and in all walks of life, poet John H. Hausner has never forgotten his Slavic heritage and has continued to write poetry specifically directed to the Slavic community.
This work includes the beautiful epic poem, "Janosik – We Remember!" as well as five shorter poems of special significance to Slavs and the preservation of the Slavic heritage.
All of the poems are beautifully illustrated by the Slavic artist Tibor Kovalik producing a work of art by two creative Slavs which should be read and cherished by Slavs throughout the world. This book should awaken, strengthen and preserve our Slavic heritage, pride and group identity.
