The Poem titled “Winter Wonder” describes a “Silent world all crystalline carved.” The lilting words of the poem “April Song” are a greeting to spring, and a poem called “Spring,” the poet tells of the “Gentle winds, refreshing rain” that will soon “wash the hearts of men again.” The verse “Congratulations” has irony and tender love uniting to mourn a boy lost on his graduation day, while “All God’s Creatures” is a humorous consideration of the passengers who boarded Noah’s Ark.
